Established as a charity in 2006, The Compassionate Mind Foundation (CMF) is the home of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Compassionate Mind Training (CMT), and the leading provider of trainings and research.
We offer a range of therapy training workshops and events for personal practice, as well as an annual conference bringing together some of the best experts and cutting edge research in the field of compassion science. We have a number of international affiliate centres, and co-ordinate international supervision networks as well as a range of special interest groups which apply CFT and CMT to a range of specialist areas and contexts.

All membership contributions help to support the Foundation and the work that we do. It costs just £65 per year, and will also enable you to take advantage of special discounted rates for a range of our events. Membership as part of the Compassionate Mind Foundation is an endeavour to build a community of members who will have access to a range of exclusive resources including:
Video & Audio
Our collection of videos include recordings from some of our international conferences, training videos (including role plays), guided practises, and exclusive interviews with people in the CFT community.
Online resources
Our online resources exclusive for members include handouts, tip sheets, and more aimed to support practitioners. Members will also have access to an archive of past conference presentations.
Member Events
As a member, you will be invited to special members events, where you'll be able to put your questions to some of the leading CFT practitioners and researchers.
We are delighted to be able to offer bespoke training packages for those who would like to offer CFT & CMT training workshops to their staff and colleagues.
We work with you to create a workshop tailored to your participant needs, and can offer one, two or three day training packages.
All of our trainers are experienced practitioners and active members of our community, bringing with them up to date knowledge of the compassion focused model and research
Our admin team are available to help ensure a smooth running event, which can be offered in person or online.
At the Compassionate Mind Foundation we are committed to building a community that is genuinely inclusive, welcoming and respects and celebrates diversity.
We are incredibly proud of, and inspired by, our growing international community, and the transcultural perspectives they are offering, widening our understanding of the cultural relevancies of compassion. We're aiming to make more compassion focused materials freely available, which will include a wider collection of resources and events in a variety of different languages.
As part of this aim, we've set up the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Fund (EDIF). This offers scholarships to workshops and conferences for those who would not otherwise be able to attend. We also offer funding for compassion focused research.
